This week, the congregation received word that The George F. and Sybil H. Fuller Foundation awarded Salem Covenant Church a grant for the organ restoration program. In a letter to Mark Nilson, Mark Fuller, president of the Foundation, presented the church with a gift of $25,000 toward the $150,000 project. With six months remaining in the capital campaign, the Fuller Foundation gift puts us infinitely closer to our goal. In July, the restoration will begin in earnest with the complete restoration of the console. Jay Fernandez, of Morel Organ Company, anticipates that the organ will be out of service for six or seven weeks but will be ready for full utilization by Rally Day in the fall. Thank you to all who have contributed to this project and we encourage others to participate in helping us reach our final goal.
