Last summer, a group from Salem along with new friends from the Muslim Community Link read a book together called, The Faith Club: a Muslim, A Christian, A Jew—Three Women search for Understanding. In hopes of deepening and continuing this tradition, Imrana Soofi of MCL has invited us to join together in looking at a new book, American Islamophobia: Understanding the Roots and Rise of Fear. The book is written by a good friend of Imrana who recently spoke at an MCL event while on his book tour which took him to Harvard and to MIT. Rarely do we have such opportunities to explore such crucial issues within such a diverse setting. If you would like to join our conversations please speak with Pastor Mark.
