First Covenant Church Minneapolis has been involuntarily removed from the Evangelical Covenant Church and both pastors, Dan Collison, and Steve Armfield were found guilty of violating their ordination vows and removed from the listing of Covenant Clergy. It is an incredibly sad day with many people feeling very dislocated and at a loss for words. The votes were not close most ranging in the area of 70% to 30%. We lament the loss of a historic, vital, and innovative church and two courageous, articulate, and gifted pastors.

Your delegates have hung in there through all the meetings which took us deep into the both Thursday and Friday nights. The processing was messy and difficult like we could have anticipated. But we go on.
