CHILDREN AND YOUTH AT SALEM

with No Comments

The fall of 2018 brought a new design to our Children and Youth programs at SCC. First, Kevin and Rachel Bigelow were hired as our primary Youth Directors. Along with a wonderful team of volunteers (Kathy and Steve Rutledge, Jillian Avery, Karen Anderson, and Lynne Orsted) two new programs unfolded: 1/3 (First and Third) and 2/4 (Second and Fourth) @ SALEM.

1/3 @ SALEM (First and Third at Salem): is our Family Dinner Night with programming geared to young children. The mission of this ministry is to gather all the families of the church together for delicious and nutritious dinner, games, crafts and faith-oriented activities. It brings together an intergenerational community that celebrates the gifts we are to one another. The name 1/3 @ SALEM stands for the weeks of the month we meet. 1/3 @ SALEM meets on the first and third Wednesday of each month. This is a wonderful way that the entire Salem family can get to know one another better in an informal and fun way. Dinners are made by different Cooking teams from the church.

2/4 @ SALEM (Second and Fourth at Salem): is our youth program designed exclusively for Middle School through High School students. The focus of this program is to provide support, companionship, fun activities, belonging, and Christian Formation to Salem’s youth. Led by our Youth Team and Pastor Nilson, 2/4 @ SALEM strives to meet on the second and fourth weekends of every month.

For more information and schedules, please email the office or Pastor Nilson.  This is a great new time for Youth Ministry at SALEM!
