We begin our fall study of biblical women who provided strong leadership that shaped our early faith development with Hagar. Hagar was the second wife of Abraham. She was encouraged to take on this role by Sarai, Abraham’s wife, so that Abraham would have offspring to carry on his legacy. She is visited by God and is part of God’s plan for the world.
