An incredible day (Installation Day, Oct 16)! The trees were at their peak color, the weather warm and inviting. Superintendent Howard Burgoyne installed Pastor Nilson as Senior Pastor of Salem Covenant Church. The service included preaching by Rev. Doug Wysockey-Johnson, readings by Jim Carlson and Kris Nilson Portinga, a full bodied choir who sang from Titcomb and Bach, prayers offered by Arthur A.R. Nelson, and an incredible gospel song by Craig Rawding and Keri Anderson. The reception was just right with light sandwiches, shrimp cocktail, and cake. We were blessed by the Spirit who inspired the entire day.
