Christmas Eve falls on a Sunday this year, adding to a very busy yet festive day. Salem is hosting the Ecumenical Christmas Eve Morning service at 10:00 a.m. This is the combined Fourth Sunday in Advent service of the Unitarian/Universalist Church of Worcester, Zion Lutheran, Bethel Lutheran Auburn, St. Michael’s on the Heights Episcopal, and Salem Covenant. The service will feature musical selections from a combined choir, a Bell choir, and a vocal soloist. In the evening, a Candlelight Christmas Eve service will be offered at 5:00 P.M. This is a traditional Christmas Eve service with carol singing, Advent readings, and ending with Silent Night while worshipers encircle the sanctuary in candlelight.
