JUNE BIBLE STUDY PLANNED

with No Comments

Having tackled both an overview of the New Testament and a focused study of the last week of Jesus’ life, we now turn to the most prolific writer in the NT, Paul of Tarsus. “Paul is second only to Jesus as the most important person in the birth of Christianity, and yet he continues to be controversial, even among Christians.” Perhaps we could say, without the resurrection, we would not know about Jesus and without Paul, there would be no church. Join us as we unpack this complex biblical character who plays large in our theological formation. Utilizing a book by Marcus J. Borg and John Dominic Crossan (The First Paul: Reclaiming the Radical Visionary Behind the Church’s Conservative Icon) we will seek to understand not only the mind and heart of Paul but the Church’s relationship to Jesus’s most faithful disciple.
