HOLY WEEK ART EXHIBIT

with No Comments

From chalkings, to oil paint, photography to verse, the art exhibit hosted by Salem Covenant was a wonderful addition to an already robust Holy Week observance. Personal transformation was the theme of the exhibit with local artists, most from Salem’s own community, showing their works. In all twenty-two pieces were part of the collection each provided a descriptive notation the impetus/story behind the work. Beverages and light refreshments were served to guests who strolled through the gallery while mingling with one another. Pictured in this post are two entries: the chalking was done by former pastor of Salem, Roger Palmquist, depicting an Emmaus encounter, the watercolor was created by Zackary Olson, a senior art student at Burncoat High School. A word of thanks is expressed to all artists for their thoughtful entries.
