Perhaps the most important task of any community is educating its children and young adults. It seemed pretty straightforward: you simply plugged the child in and encouraged along the way. In reality, education is much more complex. Family systems are more complex. Issues of funding, standards, Charter schools, changing geographical lines, tenure, and state and federal guidelines add up to a potent brew of conflict and compromise. What’s it like in the trenches? What does the “normal” student look like today? What challenges cause education personnel to have to adjust most?
