This Friday, February 27, the youth group will be participating in World Vision’s 30 Hour Famine, going without food from 1PM on Friday to 7PM on Saturday. Besides raising money to help fight global poverty, they’ll be volunteering at the Special Olympics for much of the day on Saturday.

Six years ago, the senior high youth group of Salem Covenant Church embarked on the first ever Secret Sojourn. The Secret Sojourn: A Journey of Faith, was modeled on a freakish collision between God’s calling of Abraham to an unknown land and MTV’s Road Rules. Three years ago, we embarked on the second sojourn, A Journey of Hope. Last summer, we continued that journey on The Secret Sojourn: A Journey of Love. We explored what it means that each of us is loved by God.
