The Special Friends Thanksgiving dinner, put on for our friends from the Glavin Center, will be held Tuesday, November 25th. We encourage any children from preschool through senior high to be here on the 23rd to help with set-up, and on the night of the dinner all children grades 4-12 are invited to help serve the meal and be a “special friend” to our “special needs” adults. We need everyone as we have an extra group of guests coming. If you have a friend with whom you would like to share this event, please bring them along!

Our Thanksgiving service will be held Wednesday night, November 26th, at 7:00 p.m. Stay afterward to fellowship and enjoy our Thanksgiving pies.

The Salem annual craft fair will be held this Saturday, the 22nd, 9:00-3:00. Come start your Christmas shopping or have lunch in our cafe.

Abby’s House provides shelter for women and children. The Summer Shower will be going on for two more weeks, ending on September 14. Please bring in your donations of cleaning supplies, paper supplies, and new or gently used clothing for women and children. A more detailed list can be obtained in the bulletin, the September Steeple, or at the designated table in the narthex.

We are excited to show off the changes made to the education wing over the summer. Painting, cleaning, replacing worn carpeting, etc., have all made our Sunday School wing bright and cheerful. After the worship service on September 7, our normal coffee/fellowship time will be held in the education wing, where people can tour the rooms, visit the new teachers, and have snacks and coffee.
